Brandon Houle (Oshkosh North), a University of Wisconsin recruit, was named the Outstanding Athlete for Team Wisconsin Boys at Saturday’s Midwest Senior Spotlight Track and Field Meet, held at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.  Houle broke two meet records, claiming victories in the Shot Put and Discus.

Cody Kronberg (Seymour) was the only other gold medallist for Team Wisconsin’s Boys, as the UW-Stevens Point recruit took the Triple Jump crown.

Team Wisconsin’s girls were a bit more decorated.  Erica Schoeller (Madison Edgewood) was named the Outstanding Athlete for Team Wisconsin, also setting a pair of meet records while claiming victories in the Triple Jump and the Long Jump, where the UW recruit sailed over 18 feet for the first time in her career.

Katie Slamka (Racine Horlick) was also a double winner, as the UW-Milwaukee recruit took the 400m Low Hurdles and ran a leg on the victorious 400m Shuttle Hurdle Relay.  Marianne Junck (Madison Edgewood), a Marquette recruit, led off that shuttle relay, and then scurried back home to make it back for the last half of her own graduation party.

Michaela Courtney (Dodgeville/Mineral Point) was another double winner for Team Wisconsin, taking the 800m Run easily in Meet Record time.  The UW recruit also led off the victorious 1600m Relay.

Tenia Fischer (Milwaukee Rufus King) also earned a pair of golds, bringing home the victory for that 1600m Relay with a blistering :57.2 anchor split.  She also claimed the 400m Dash title.

Jackie Mulrooney (Hartland Arrowhead) got things started in a great way for Team Wisconsin, obliterating the Meet Record in the 3200m Run on the way to a runaway victory for the UW recruit.
