Interview of the Week: Kelly McNiff (UW OShkosh Basketball) We asked Kelly about her day to day coaching, how she manages to accomplish the much needed work-life balance of a coach and how she thinks the current US Political climate is affecting women in sports.

Hello Ladies,

First - if you are not a lady or would like to be removed from this email list, please let me know by replying to this email with a simple "please remove me".

Second - I wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you that came to the W4W lunch session during the clinic. A few things I promised I would send out:

  • The Ted Talk that I discussed - Your Body Language Shapes who you are (Fake it until you are it). Well worth the watch - pass it on! It is not silly - great stuff!
  • A handful of us got to share the things we do at practice & meets that can set the tone of the environment. For example, this fall I started the habit of saying each athletes first name at practice - WHAT an IMPACT that makes! Share your ideas HERE - I will post them on the website!
  • The University of MN has a women's coaching symposium coming up in April - I can't wait for it! Anyone else interested? Check it out HERE!
