Owen Jarrette

Boys Sprint Chair

Owen Jarrette has been the head boy’s track & field coach at Muskego HS since 2007. He works primarily with sprinters, jumpers, and hurdlers. Before that he was a decathlete at Principia College in Elsah, IL.

Owen currently teaches physical education at Southwood Glen Elementary in Franklin.

Mark Maas coached track and field for 35 years. Mark was inducted into the WISTCA Hall of Fame in 2014. He is the husband of Lexi and grandpa to six grandchildren. His Personal Hero is none other than Billy Deeeeeeeevoe.

Josh Zill - West De Pere HS

HURDLES CHAIR

Josh Zill has been coaching track and field in the Green Bay area since 2012 and is currently the hurdles coach at West De Pere High School. He has also coached football, basketball, and cross country during his coaching career.

Josh is a native of Green Bay and went on to compete primarily in the jumps and hurdles at UW-Milwaukee. He is currently a Substitute Teacher and is working on his Special Education Teaching Certification.

Bill Richards has coached the throws for the past 15 years.  During that time he spent his first 10 years at Ozaukee High School coaching the Boys' and Girls' Throws.  The final six years at Ozaukee he was the Head Boys' and Girls' Track Coach.  The last six years have been at Homestead.  While at Homestead, Bill’s first year was as a volunteer Girls' Throws Coach and the last five years as the Boys' Throws Coach.  While at Ozaukee, Bill served as the District 4 Representative from 2003 to 2008.  Currently Bill is the Throws Chair and WISTCA President.

Pole Vault Event Chair

Coach Joel Block began coaching in 2002. As pole vault coach for Sun Prairie East boys and girls track and field teams he has coached the girl's school record holders and Big 8 boys and girls conference champions. Prior to this, he was the head track and field coach at River Valley HS (Spring Green, WI) for 9 seasons. While at River Valley, Coach Block was responsible for coaching both boys and girls pole vault school record holders and a state champion along with several conference champions. Coach Block has also been a speaker at the WISTCA clinic and is a national staff member for the UCS Reno Pole Vault Summit annually and creator of the pole vault coaching series YouTube Channel

Bryon Graun

Distance Event Chair

Bryon Graun is a 8th grade teacher and Co-Athletic Director in the Colby School District.  He as been the head cross country coach in Colby since 2010 and an assistant track and field coach since 2011.  He and his wife, Olivia, live in Colby, where Bryon also serves on their church Board of Directors.  Bryon and Olivia love the outdoors spending their winters downhill skiing and hiking.  In the summer you will find them camping, hiking, traveling and spending time on the lake skiing with family and friends.  Currently, Bryon is also the president of the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association.  He also served as the WCCCA ranking coordinator from 2015-2017.  As a coach, Bryon looks to positively impact the lives of his student athletes to to help them become great athletes but even better people.
