Matt Buchman - Chetek-Weyerhaeuser High School

District 1 WISTCA Rep

Matt has been teaching in Chetek, WI since the 1998-99 school year.  He currently teaches 8th grade Earth Science and Physical Education.

He has been coaching track and field in the Chetek now Chetek-Weyerhaeuser district (we consolidated with the Weyerhaeuser school district during the 2010-11 school year) since 2001.  Matt started as the assistant boys coach and became the head boys coach in 2008. He became the head coach of both boys and girls in 2012.  Today, he primarily works with sprints, hurdles and relays. 

Matt is married to Holly and has three children, sons Derek and Carter and their daughter Rylee.  Time not teaching or coaching usually involves going to kids sporting events.  In the summers their whole family skis in the Chetek Hydroflites waterski shows.

Matt is excited to learn more about WISTCA and promote the concerns and viewpoints of District 1 coaches.

Chrisie  Wright-Colby School District

Chrisie has been a high school physical and health education teacher for Colby since 2002, also taking on a few middle school classes.  She started her track coaching career in the middle school program and then took on the head boys and girls coach role in 2004.  Currently, she works with the high jump, hurdles, sprints and pole vault.  Chrisie is also the assistant middle school volleyball coach.  

 

Chrisie, and her husband Kevin, love to spend their free time enjoying the great outdoors.  Their children have paws; two beagles, Gunner and Maya.  Kevin and his family, have a house in the mountains of western Wyoming, not too far from Yellowstone and Teton National Parks.  They spend as much time there as they can, with their favorite hobby being back country snowmobile riding.  They both like to hunt and ride Harley; traveling into Canada and the western mountains on them.  Chrisie loves taking hers for a long day drive exploring parts Wisconsin when she's not with her dogs or gardening.    

Kevin Kravik - Bangor High School

Kevin Kravik started coaching Track and Field at Sparta High School in 1983 as a sprint and jumps assistant.  In 1989 he began a 24 year run as Head Track Coach. The last 10 as combined Boys/Girls Head Coach.  In 2013 he left Sparta and became an assistant to current Hall of Fame coach Bruce Brewer at Bangor High School.  Since the 2015 season he has taken on the Head Coaching duties at Bangor.

A native of Deerfield High School, under the direction of Hall of Fame Coach Dale Downie, he became Deerfield’s first State Champion. (Pole Vault)  He went on to compete collegiately at the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse. 

Kevin enjoys time with his wife Roxanne and son Kellen.  Sporting events and adventure trips abound during the year. Three U.S. Olympic Trials, summer pole vault fests (Kellen), Boundary Water Wilderness Canoe trips, and hiking most National Parks in the western United States are journeys the family relishes.  Florida’s Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountain National Park are favorite destinations for the family.

Jon Schwantz has been a Physical Education/Health Education teacher at the School District of Omro since 1989. He coached Cross Country from 1990 - 1994, Wrestling for 30 years, 26 of those years at Omro, and has been the Head Boys and Girls Track and Field Coach since 1989. 

Jon enjoys spending time with wife Annette and his three beautiful daughters when he is not teaching or coaching. He also enjoys traveling the Boundary Waters every summer, walking in State Parks and spending time at his “get away” cabin in the north woods of Michigan.

Jon’s high school wrestling coach inspired him to pursue a career in the teaching /coaching profession.

Pat Reichling started coaching straight out of high school.  He began coaching football at Madison Edgewood in 2003.  When he returned home to Darlington in 2005 he began coaching football and track.  He had the privilege to learn under many wonderful coaches over the years.  

When Todd Bastian decided to step back from head coaching in 2016, Pat was hired to take the job of head coach.  With the support of his assistants he was able to take over the program.  

Pat is a native of Darlington and has many family and friends throughout the area.  He enjoys golfing, fishing and spending time with his niece and nephews.  He tries to travel whenever possible and hopes to continue helping to grow the sport of track and field.

Cody grew up in West Bend and attended West Bend East. He fell in love with Track & Field. Tom Hoogester was his high school coach for two years. After high school he knew he wanted to coach and relay his knowledge onto the younger athletes. Twelve years later, he is the head coach for the East Girls program opposite Coach Hoogester. He coached 5 years with the boys and this will be his 7th with the girls. Last year the East Girls program got their first state champion in school history which was amazing! 

 

He recently got married this summer and now lives in Saukville. He currently works for an autism company doing in home work with three different kiddos.

Jerome Missiaen started coaching Track and Field at Badger HS, Lake Geneva in 1996 by helping out with the girls distance coach.  Becoming an assistant coach coaching distance and high jump the next 3  years.  In fall of 1999 Jerome started a new teaching job at Waterford HS and was an assistant coach for 1 year as Hurdle, High Jump, and Pole Vault coach.  With one more job move in the fall of 2001 he became an assistant coach for Franklin HS boys as Distance, High Jump and Pole Vault coach.  Then the next 6 out of 7 years he was the head Boys coach, coaching the Sprints, Jumps, and Hurdles mainly.  With a growing family, Jerome resigned his head coaching position the next 2 years becoming an assistant. And then the two years after that he became  a very part-time assistant.  In spring of 2014, Jerome had a chance to coach his own child as a Freshman at Muskego HS. as an assistant, coaching Sprints and Hurdles.   He currently continues to coach at Muskego HS.  And just for fun, Jerome has volunteered to help coach the local middle school teams the past 4 years when time allowed.  Jerome has also coached Cross Country as an assistant and as a head coach 17 of the past 21 years.

 
A native of West Allis (West Allis Central), and UW-Platteville Graduate, Jerome and his wife Katie have 4 girls (Mary, Abigail, Elizabeth, Therese)  and 1 boy (Paul) and currently live in Muskego, WI.  The family is involved in many sports and enjoy doing sports together.  Most of our travels involve participation in sporting events throughout the midwest.

Matthew is the Head Girls Track and Field Coach at Milwaukee Rufus King High School . Matthew has

coached high school sports for over twenty-five years, Basketball,Football, and Track. Head Coach at King for six seasons.

Matthew is a Physical Education Teacher at Clara Barton Elementary School in Milwaukee.

Matthew and his wife ,Tequila, have five children : Isaiah,Brandon,Sydnee,Calvin III, and Tevin.

Kari Krakow

WISTCA women4women Leader

Kari Krakow has coached Track and Cross Country since 2006 at Portage High School.  Kari is the WISTCA Secretary, Women4Women leader and the High Jump Chair for the Senior Spotlight meet.

She works at CESA 5 as a Lead Infinite Campus Trainer for Wisconsin.  She and her husband Chris are the proud parents of Spike, their barrel cactus.

Robyn Adair has been an assistant track coach at Waterford Union High School since 2014, coaching middle distance and sprints. She was an assistant cross country coach at New Berlin West for a year before joining the cross country coaching staff at Waterford. 

Robyn is a motivational speaker and marketing consultant, an avid runner and cyclist. She lives in Waterford with Arthur the Wonder Cat.
