Mark Hoffman - South Milwaukee High School

Clinic Co-Director

Mark Hoffman has been the Head Boys Track and Field Coach, assistant Football Coach and mathematics teacher at South Milwaukee High School since 1990.  His teams have won a total of 13 conference championships and he has been fortunate to coach four individual state champions.

Mark has served WISTCA in several capacities.  He was a District VII Rep (1996-2000), President-Elect (2000-2002), and President (2002-2004).  He currently serves as Clinic Co-Chair (2001-present) and Treasurer (2010-present).  Mark has also served as the Executive Chair of the National Senate of High School Track Coaches Associations and is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of that association. 

Mark is the father of four children (Ben, Jenny, Molly, Christopher).  He and his very understanding wife Diane have been married for 27 years and currently reside in South Milwaukee.

Mark Maas has been coaching track and field for 35 years. Mark was inducted into the WISTCA Hall of Fame in 2014. He is the Husband of Lexy and Grandpa to seven grandchildren. His Personal Hero is none other than Billy Deeeeeeeevoe.

Vince Lease was an original founder of the WISTCA Clinic and has served as WISTCA's Secretary/Treasurer for many years as well as Clinic Registrar since its inception.  He also served as Vice-President and Treasurer for WCCCA as well as serving on the WIAA Sports Advisory Committee for many years for both WISTCA and WCCCA.  He taught and coached track and cross country at Fennimore High School since 1976 until his retirement in 2010.

Vince and his wife Rita have four adult children and eight grandchildren.  He also has three businesses.  His passions are family, hunting, clerking, sawyering, and raising commercial plant tubers.  He is also the proud sponsor of Men's Night Out at his farm each July.

Vendors - Paul Hiegel

Paul Hiegel is the WISTCA vendor liaison.  He has been the Boys' Assistant Track Coach since 1996 at South Milwaukee High School.  Paul started coaching in the jumps area then moved to the distance position.  He is also an assistant cross country coach.  Paul is proud to be coaching at his alma mater where he was a distance runner in track and ran cross country under the legendary coach Stan Druckrey, who he now coaches with.  He ran at the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse for coaches Phil Esten and Mark Guthrie.   Paul teaches physical education in Racine, WI and lives in Oak Creek with his wife Rebecca and 3 children, Alex, Mathew, and Hannah.

Fundraising Coordinator

Mike Price is the President WISTCA and serves as the Southern Wisconsin Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Mike began coaching track and field in 1999 and is currently the Co-Head Coach at Deerfield High School. He has been involved with WISTCA since 2003 serving first as the high jump chair before moving into the role of Fundraising Coordinator.  Mike also assists in activities related to planning the annual clinic.

Mike is a native of Green Bay and went on to compete at UW-Stevens Point in track and field and cross country.  Mike and his wife Sheila have one daughter, Meghan.  Mike is an avid Packers fan and spent 12 summers working with the team during training camp.  Mike enjoys kayaking, biking, vacationing in Door County, and racing high speed go-karts.

Jason handles public relations duties for the association, primarily dealing with Team Wisconsin's participation in the Midwest Senior Spotlight Meet and WISTCA's annual Coaches' Clinic and Hall of Fame Induction.  He previously administered girls' power rankings before passing that baton to Matt Polzin.
 
A Mount Horeb native, Jason has 10 years of high school coaching experience.  He served as an assistant coach at his alma mater from 1999-2002 before moving on to a four-year stint at Madison Abundant Life, where he helped establish the Challengers' program.  He returned to Mt. Horeb/Barneveld as the head coach from 2007-08.  He spent several years working for The Capital Times in Madison before joining the staff of the Wisconsin State Journal, where he handles copy editing and page layout, primarily for the sports section.
